Yes I went to a Hens there last year, and on the topic of atmosphere ... by the end of the night every person in the restaurant was on tables/chairs dancing ! (and I'm pretty sure every table there was a hens night). So if thats the kind of scene you're after, its good fun.

The hats are a novelty, and its not till youre on your third or fourth hat that you start to wonder how many heads that hat has been on that night... hmm

Food I don't really remember too much about, I think it was ok though.

I would really recommend getting the drinks inclusive package, as the price of drinks is exhorbitant. Plus if you're sitting upstairs, its annoying to constantly have to go downstairs to the bar (you can't order drinks from your table).

Been there for a hens party and the service was appalling. For a venue that caters for groups and a full house of groups there is no excuse for slow drinks service, cold and under cooked food service plus they ran out of things ie the bride to be had to change her dinner order 3 times as each time they ran out of what she ordered!! The BM that organised it felt terrible but we all got drunk and made up for it..... Some things are out of your control but I would not pay to go there again...

Sorry to be negative

biggrin.gif I Have been to Tharens for years....I love it, it is so much fun, now with all the costumes and magic its just wonderful...all these rubbish venues in sydney are put to shame by Tharens. They do it very well. Yeah they may run oout of something sometimes, but that was because it was nice food. Tharens is quirky and fun! You can truely let your hair down and have a great time. tongue.gif
