For abot sixth months my FH has been constantly talking about getting a new watch as his old watch band was falling apart and the face had dust built up around it (it was a BabyG watch, and has served him well for the past four years, until we went to the cattle station where it got smashed, bashed, ripped, torn, pooed and peed on- by cattle of course)!
I was going to get him one for Christmas, but we decided we'd wait until he found a dark blue one that he liked (instead of the baby blue ones)

So after SIX MONTHS we got him an awesome looking BRAND SPANKING NEW G-shock watch...
And what does he do?
He wears the new one on the left hand and the old one on the right hand!!!! unsure.gif
So I asked- "Why the heck are you wearing TWO WATCHES..."
So he says....
"It's a fail safe!"
"A Fail safe?" I ask... completely understanding the concept of a fail safe.
"Yeah, a back up!"
HUH? ph34r.gif
"Can I have a back up engagement ring? Or a back up car? Or a back up laptop?"

So -after six months we get a brand new watch to replace his old ratty one and he wears BOTH ?

sleep.gif I just don't get it tongue.gif

Very much a male thing. Wouldn't it be nice to have a back up engagement ring?!

laugh.gif It's very much a male thing.

On the second day of our honeymoon DH pretty much destroyed his wedder on the bottom of the pool (it's a white gold ring, and not only has he scratched almost all of the plating off, he's bent it somehow into this odd square shape). So for our first anniversary, I bought him a "good" wedder to wear on special occasions.

On special occasions it's more likely to see him with "the basher" (as we refer to it) on, and his good ring sitting where he's placed it on top of the toaster rolleyes.gif

Hehe! Thanks for understanding ladies!
Jaydee, I told my FH about your DH's ring and he shrugged and said that it's cool to wear the old one because it looks round and manly! laugh.gif .... Ahhh, you gotta love them dont ya?
