I have just noticed I have been scratching my wooden dining chairs to bits with my studded belt sad.gif
I want to fix it before hubby sees it and throws my fav belt in the bin LOL
Is there some sort of polish I can put on it to 'hide' the scratches?
Any help appreciated...

I am pretty sure you should be able to buy "touch up pens" from the hardware store. Should contain a clear or a tinted varnish to match. If not buy a small tin in a colour that matches ie: Cherry, Mahogany, Walnut etc.... and then using a fine tipped paint brush just touch up the scratches.

Oh and do this outside and leave the chair outside for a bit so there are no lingering varnish smells!! biggrin.gif

I bought a wax pen thing, it feels like a candle & you rub it over the scratch (if it's made a dent) & it fills in the gap, then I bought a touch up texta like leapstar mentioned, you can just get it from furniture shops.

Ditto we bought one of these pens to touch up our dinning room table, was only about $12 from a place called villa and hut, thou your hardware should have it. Just match the colour correctly.

and in the meantime, rub a brazil nut on the scratches! The oil goes a bit dark to hide the paler wood underneath. This is what people do when they get a scratch on their violin smile.gif
