So...my BF's sister is getting married in a few weeks which is how i found this site to start with! Over the past few months in particular i've taken a real interest in her plans and the past year or so i've been flicking through wedding mags with her, talking flowers, cakes, music, venues, celebrants blah blah blah...

It's been really fun and i've picked up alot of great ideas. I've found myself storing alot of things in my head already for when my turn comes! Obviously i'd never go ahead with anything and i'm keeping an open mind as i know BF will have his own ideas when we get there as it's his day too afterall!

Anyone else got the 'pretend' wedding ideas in their head?

I refuse to think about it too much as I don't have a ring on my finger yet. I don't want to jinx anything blush.gif .

I half-planned a wedding and now my bestfriend is getting married and in my mindI know what i would want and not want for a wedding:
A fantabulous dress that makes me look great- even if that means its cocktail length and pink.

Family and a couple of close friends present

Mayyyyyyybe one attendant each, i am an adult, i dont need a team of 5 to help me declare my love and sign a form!!! laugh.gif

A nice little ceremony

Maybe a picnic or just take family to a nice restaurant afterwards.

And photos, photos, photos biggrin.gif

Lori - I'm very similar smile.gif

We're both not Australian by birth, so we have very little family here.

We have our parents, and one aunt & uncle each, and one cousin each tongue.gif
I have my heart set on a historic church, so that very nicely limits me to one (of my religion & denomination) in Brisbane smile.gif
And I want gazillions of photos as I am a big fan of photograhy - Or should I say as much as my limited budget will allow me wink.gif

No ring on this finger at this point but it is always fun to pretend (as long as you are willing to compromise some things if it comes to reality happy.gif )

I like great historic architecture and photos would be the most important thing for me. I would take just myself and groom to Tassie, get married somewhere quaint and beautiful like in a small private chapel or old church (and yes, I would still make sure I had a great dress and awesome flowers), then spend a day out driving around having photos taken with stunning scenery. (I would fly down my very good friend who is a top photographer. Then I'll also have a witness for the signing of the register. Lol!)

Then when I returned home, I would have a intimate dinner with my closest friends and family at a restaurant that OH and I love. (there would be about 30 of us all together).

Just need to get the OH to propose and go along with all this. biggrin.gif

and to the one person on this forum who know me IRL - shhhhh! Don't tell OH. He he.
