Please note, it's a very dodgy pic, but it's definitely the design I want (I look in jeweller's windows on almost a daily basis ph34r.gif) and I definitely want a coloured stone as the main stone. I think it adds a little somethin' somethin' smile.gif

Yay! It worked!!

Ha that's why I love this forum, it makes me realise I'm not the only one who's not yet engaged but planning everything anyway!!

Have you and yiour boyfriend talked about getting engaged Shellie? smile.gif

Yeah it's come up but there hasn't been a full on decent conversation into it.

I did say that there was no way i'd wait aother 2 years for it to happen and he assured me i wouldn't have to wait that long lol.

I've shown him the website of the place i'd like to get married at and he was interested so that's a good sign i guess smile.gif

All the weddings we've been to have been like 120 people, $20K weddings which i think has freaked him out!

i already posted a mood board too hahahahaha

Gems that ring is gorgeous!! So unsual!

I can so relate to your situation Shellie, my BF was so the same i think they get a bit freaked by it all! he always seems interested but then is like nah im not ready yet and all that.

Then he came home from work around 3 weeks ago and was playing the PS2 and I was on the forum (nothing new! ha) and I read him a funny proposal story then he's like keep reading them out so we were reading and talking about them all then he tells me he wants to get a ring designed but doesn't know how to go about it, and since then ive picked my ring and it's being made right now! He hasn't officially proposed so not engaged yet but it's good enough for now!

Guys are weird!! They just change their minds so quickly... now he'd better not change it back LOL

Sorry kinda rambled on a bit there blush.gif

oh Bec i looooooove your mood board!!

I love the lacey dress too - it's so girly. I want to get married in a rainforest so i think it would go nicely. All my girlfriends have had the strapless A-Line so i want something different...although don't i always haha.

God i love this forum - it makes me realise that i'm not crazy!!!

I actually already have a ring too as it was my great grandmothers and is around 130 years old. It needs repairs as the claws have all gone weak from age. Thought about using the diamonds in a new ring but it wouldn't really have the same meaning i don't think.

Thanks Shellie! I made a new one that looks a bit better and put it in the mood boards thread smile.gif

Wow 130 years old!! That is so cool, I know what you mean if you remake it then it's not quite the same, does the style suit you though??

A rainforest would be so cool!! we'll be getting married at the beach (the one on the mood board) cos that's where we are both from but I dont want to get married on the actual sand!! You wouldn't be able to hear anything cos of all the wind but a rainforest would be so nice!

Antarian your rings are lovely! How spoilt are you getting two LOL!!

Well it's funny, i never really wanted a huge ring but i've tried it on 3 times now over the past few years and am really in love with it. I really want to show you a pic but i want to keep it under raps until i get engaged hehe.

It's got 2 rows of 5 diamonds so 10 diamonds in all and it has almost like a celtic pattern up either side that the shank is attached to. Really old and pretty!

The place i want to get married has an outdoor ampitheatre which i love because it means everyone can see you due to the seating levels. They put cushions down for your guests too. I really hate when you go to a wedding and no-one ends up sitting down for the ceremony because they can't see so everyone stands instead!

It sounds lovely! Yer show it off when your engaged!! You could just get it restored with a good jeweller then it will have meaning and look good smile.gif

Sounds like a nice place to get married. Where are you located? Is it close to where you plan to get married?

I'm in south brisbane and the place i like is on Mount Tamborine which is maybe an hours drive.

The ampitheatre in on my mood board actually.

Well it all depends if FH is happy with it too! He might change his mind and want to get married on the beach for all i know! But at least i've got a starting point.

I really like this picture too that was from some other place on the mountain too.

QUOTE(Sariele @ Feb 18 2008, 09:09 PM) *

Can I post in here even though I'm single? Lol.

I've got pretty much my whole imaginary wedding planned: dress, colour scheme, ceremony music, type of venue... the list goes on. I've got it all written down and filed away somewhere, so if/when I need it, I can pull it out and use it to help me (although I'll probably end up changing my mind on everything!).

Mum worries that I think about it way too much and will be too crushed if I never meet The One, but it's all in good fun really. wink.gif

It's all part of 'The Secret' isn't it cool.gif

Hahahaha I was EXACTLY the same. I dragged my boy to jewellers to show him what ring I wanted, with sizes, everything so he could surprise me, started sussing out venues, colour schemes, found the dress I wanted in my friends magazines, food, bonbonaries, cakes, etc etc... Enjoy it! It helps with the planning.... trust me smile.gif

Oops and I forgot to add, it didn't all start until I knew he was the one, so I think it's a sign there biggrin.gif
