Well, we have just booked dinner for our first wedding anniversary and my 33rd birthday (same day).

The Bayswater Brasserie - www.bayswaterbrasserie.com.au

and

The Kirketon Hotel for a sleepover ph34r.gif - www.kirketon.com.au

Too excited!

What did everyone do for their first wedding anniversaries?

Sounds like you are going to have a wonderful night biggrin.gif

We went to the Harbourview Hotel, North Sydney and had a romantic package which included chocs and chmpagne, a beautiful 3 course dinner which was just bloody fantastic a beautiful view of Sydney Harbour and unreal buffet breakfast in the morning.

We really loved it. We planned on going every year, but for 2nd anniversary I was 7.5 months pregnant and didnt feel like it, and this year we werent quite ready to leave Audrey overnight with gran and Pop. I think we will def go back next year though biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

First anniversary presents are "paper" so if you just give a card, that counts biggrin.gif

Shane and I just went to our favourite restaurant (he took me there the night he proposed and has become our 'special events' place ever since) for lunch. We sat around for a few hours just taking our time, enjoying the wine, food, scenery (and each other) It was just lovely.

Our 2nd anniversary is in March so I suppose I better start thinking about that sometime soon smile.gif

Sounds fantastic Jo!

Happy Anniversary Ez and Widge. It is my parent's 29th wedding anniversary on Sunday too smile.gif

Our first anniversary is in April and we will be going out to dinner at one of our favourite restaurants. We celebrated our engagement there with our parents so thought it would be nice to go back.

I honestly don't really remember. ph34r.gif

I know that for the paper he wrote me a beautiful poem and printed it up and framed it. My man is incredibly poetic! I cannot remember what I gave him, nor what we did to celebrate. It was over 7 years ago - thats my excuse!!!! laugh.gif

Jo, your plans sound wonderful. I might plan something like that for ours in October!

That sounds like fun Jo smile.gif

Our first anniversary - we won a honeymoon suite hotel package (great timing!) so we used that to just chill out and relax for two days with spas and room service and thawed our wedding cake to eat smile.gif and on the exact date we headed out to a swanky restaurant and ate way too much!

As far as presents - we wrote each other a long letter about what our year of marriage had meant to each other...

Now I am planning our third smile.gif it gets trickier!

Sounds like you have a lovely night planned. Hubby and I spent our first anniversary in Daylesford, where we spent two nights, and wined and dined.

This year, we'll be holidaying in Byron Bay for our second anniversary.
