Pretty self explanitory question. I had Chloe in sydney so my family and friends were there, but my IL's and Hubbie's siblings couldnt be there as they lived up in qld. They also never experienced any of my pregnancy or saw Chloe till we moved up here.

So therefore i was wondering if a baby shower would be a good idea so that they feel involved plus also cause baby b is a boy it means we need extra baby stuff.

What do you think, should i mention it or should i just forget about it? I dont know if it is common at all or not so please assist me!

Normally I would say no baby shower for a second pregnancy. My cousin's wife recently had one for her second child 18 months after her first one, and not many people went.

MAYBE you can possibly to a dinner instead a "baby dinner" ~Amanda~ just had her's and it seems like a nice idea!

Well I have never had a baby shower, and this time round hubby and I will be hosting our own baby dinner, so to speak. Welcoming a new baby is enough cause for celebration, but saying that we will definitely not be expecting gifts of any sort.

I agree.

The baby dinner sounds like a great idea...a night to just celebrate the baby arriving, and to not give any pressies.

Around now would be time to plan it since there isn't much time left! Any ideas for food or decorations for a small baby dinner?

I'd just go to a resturant & leave the cooking & cleaning up to them!!

I didn't have a baby shower for Marcus and I haven't had one this time around either.
