Hi girls,
I've been staring at these for awhile and was hoping to get some opinions. My theme is pink/green/white. Theme flower is cherry blossom. My bridesmaids are in a very pale sage green, my gown is white, and reception gown is pastel pink. My colourscheme was initially inspired by this pic of orchids: ![]() Then I changed my mind since my theme flower became cherry blossoms. I didn't want the focus to be too much on the fact that they were orchids. Also, I fell in love with this pic, which all soft and romantically pretty: ![]() Now that I'm thinking of getting wrist corsages for my bridesmaids instead of bouquets I'm thinking the orchids will look really good in them, and I do like the green flowers very much. I found this pic, which I reckon is a pretty good combo of the two themes. It has the pink/green orchids, while still having filler making it softer than all orchids: ![]() Wotcha reckon girls? |

I voted soft pinks/whites. I really like that second pic. The orchids make it interesting but still really romantic and great colours.
I found the 3rd pic a bit... messy looking. Does that make sense? I think with more than about 3 or 4 flowers types in a bouquet it starts to look messy and too many bits and pieces. I do like the 1st pic, but personally I'm not a fan of those sorts of orchids. They remind me or spiders. Love the 2nd pic. My bouquet is a bit like that actually.... with roses and freesias and a few pink orchids. -------------------- |

I think they are all beautiful Maiko - but of course I'm biased - they look so much like my own wedding flowers - esp. the first pic (I had exactly the same orchids, and colours). I DO love the second pic though and think they would definitley go better with your theme. I like your idea of the wrist corsages - my girls had orchid corsages in those colours too.
I even had cherry blossoms as my reception table decorations!! (Pics in my sig if you want to take a look). You have great taste!!! Row PS. I did end up voting SOFT PINKS/WHITE though.... I do like the 1st pic, but personally I'm not a fan of those sorts of orchids. They remind me or spiders. Eeeeeekkk!!!! I don't know why I never noticed this before but I see it now!!! I HATE spiders and we used these flowers ALL OVER at our wedding...... I look like I have a whopping big SPIDER in my hair!!!!! -------------------- |

Row your wedding is right up there on my most beautiful list - everything tied in so perfectly.
lol at spiders.. I don't see it myself Thing is, apart from the invitations, which people won't see on the day, I don't have anything that's a real mix of the green/pink to help tie the theme together. I don't want the pink/white to dominate. Green things atm are the tablecloths, table numbers, BM dresses (and GM waistcoats and fatboys) and the BMs need green in their flowers - the pink/white just doesn't go. Also, 2nd pic is very girly girl, and I'm not. I'm a bit worried that I'll look funny because it doesn't really suit my personality that way iykwim? |

#1 or #3. i definately think you need some greens in there. i think it'll just pack an extra punch and make things more exciting. but i'm partial.. because green is my favorite colour! but i do think it makes things crisper and fresher and more happy and interesting
i am probably doing all pinks and greens myself. but i don't have any photos with orchids or cherry blossoms, sorry. but speaking of.. if your theme is cherry blossoms, how come you aren't having cherry blossoms in the bouquets? and are you dead set on using orchids and cherry blossoms? what about combining it with other flowers like roses and then adding lots of green fillers? there is so many options with flowers |

maiko.. then i'd say go for bouquet #3. you hate roses? aww i'm having them i think
i too like more pale pinks rather than bold hot pink. and more of a kelly/grass green than lime (though i love crysantheum and that looks quite bright) i think you'll have no problem finding something. i don't usually save orchid photos but i'll keep on the lookout and post if i come across anything from now on |

ok maiko.. i searched just for you tonight! but i didn't come up with much (as i just searched one site and this is all i found)
mostly greens but i'm sure you can fit some pinks in to your liking. and just ignore the roses on one ![]() ^i think the pearled stephanotis adds a really elegant beautiful touch! ![]() ^ i love hypericum berries as well. ![]() ok that's a bit different with no green. but i think it's pretty for the bridal bouquet and you could add something pale green for fillers? and then have the bridesmaids be more pinks and greens and less white possibly? hope they help somewhat! good luck oh i almost forgot this one. this is the one to ignore the roses haha ![]() ^again love the hypericum berries in that as well.. you could replace the roses with pale pink hydrangea or liswhatever or umm hmm all that's coming to me is roses.. drawing a blank. i need to go to sleep. so agian best of luck |
