We had cup cakes for our E-Party and they were such a hit! When it was cake cutting time we simply cut the top layer and then whoever wanted one just came up when it suited them and got it. We pulled an allnighter aswell and they were great to get out again later when we all got hungry! lol

Hi Guys
I loved the idea of cupcakes, but we are having mini cakes instead (squares) - same as below: ![]() Except ours won't be pink .... instead they'll be cream/white to match our dress and covered in shells/coral. The top tier is costing us $45 with the individuals about $6ea. All up, for under $450 (approx 65 guests), which is cheaper than what my girlfriend paid for her cheesc@ke shop cake. sorry, haven't learnt how to put multiple images in (and i'm so sorry they are soo big!) the decoration of our mini cakes above will be similar to this: ![]() |

Here are ours, they were made my a friend who is a pastry chef, and I was lucky enough to help decorate them! They were white chocolate mud, with white chocolate ganache icing. The top layer is in our freezer for our 1st anniversary.
I also made the stand myself. ![]() |

Something a bit different - we did a cake stand with B@by C@kes for our centrepiece on each guest table - they looked fantastic and our guests could nibble on the B@by C@kes throughout the evening.
We had another cake for the cutting. ![]() -------------------- ![]() |

*bump*
I was speaking to a lady who will be making our cake and she has suggested a 'cup cake' style cake... but flat, not tiered. So all cupcakes on a small table with a theme - her suggestion was the middle cup cakes have the bridal party on them (lying flat not standing) with others decorated around them. I'm hopeless at describing and i don't have a picutre... I was hoping someone might have something similar saved somewhere for me to have a look at! Thanks in advance ladies -------------------- Remember that happiness is a way of travel, not a destination.
Roy Goodman Ladies and Gents, enjoy the planning, discussing, crying, laughing and being together as much as your special day! |
