I have just finished reading the what to pack in the lunch box thread (some great tips in there by the way), and am now wondering, what lunchbox I should use for Jaidyn.

I have got him just one of those plastic decor ones, that come with a drink bottle you can freeze, and put on top. However, we had a trial the other day, and he couldn't open either the lid off the box, or the drink bottle. So we went out and got one of those insulated zip up bags,(he insisted on getting the spiderman one) which he can open no worries, but now am worried that his food will get squashed! unsure.gif

I never thought that something so simple could become so complicated. wacko.gif

Anyway what type do you use, or what can you suggest?

We use a Hannah Montana insulated lunch box (with a zipper)

Then her Sandwich goes into a Tupperware Sandwich keeper. There is really nothing else to get squished, but we do have hinged lid Smash snack boxes if we need them for something.

As for the Drink bottle she has a tupperware one too.

I have the Decor one for my son - always have done, right from kindy, and they do learn how to open them - or the teacher will be there to give a hand.

As for drink bottles, we use one with a twisty top - but we have to stop them from biting them with their teeth to open them, and use their hands instead!!!!

My son is about to go into Year 7 & I have just thrown out his Coke (Cola) lunchbag that he has had since the beginning of Kindergarten!
It was just a cooler bag with a flat back & the front rounded, with a mesh pocket inside that he put his ice brick in. We would stand his s'wich up against the flat back & recess in front.

This is exactly the same lunchbox we use for Anika.

Is yours the soft one?

We also use a zip-up insulated lunch box, and his sandwich goes in a sandwich box, so doesn't get squashed, and doesn't need gladwrap. It has a pocket inside to put a ice block thingy, to keep things cold. He has a metal drink bottle that he just puts in the cholder on the side of his bag.

Lunch box is really a big question for the mummy world. Thanks for all the suggestions.
But I am still waiting for some new innovative ideas. Hope to get some more soon.

I was actually just about to post the same question, lucky I did a search first although I don't really know what they look like so might have to visit a few shops to get an idea of what differences there are.
